6-9-2023 (HANOI) Liu Jianchao, the head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a delegation from the CPC on a three-day visit to Vietnam. During the visit, Liu engaged in important meetings with key Vietnamese counterparts, including General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) and Le Hoai Trung, the head of the CPVCC’s Commission for External Relations. The discussions focused on implementing the agreed-upon consensuses between the two parties’ highest leadership, with an emphasis on strengthening political trust, enhancing cooperation, fostering exchanges, and addressing shared challenges.
In addition to the official meetings, Liu Jianchao also held interactive sessions with representatives from Vietnam’s think tanks, media organizations, and friendly associations. These engagements aimed to promote dialogue, knowledge sharing, and people-to-people connections between China and Vietnam.
Both sides expressed their commitment to advancing the bilateral relationship towards the vision of building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. This aspiration reflects the shared goals of deepening cooperation, strengthening mutual understanding, and working together for the betterment of peace and progress for all of humanity.
